That the Palisades Scenic Byway connects people to nature is quite evident from the peak of Bear Mountain. From here, one sees the sweep of the Hudson River, the historic Bear Mountain Bridge, and rolling, undeveloped mountains for miles. The Palisades Scenic Byway was built to make these places accessible.

From the peak of Bear Mountain, the Bear Mountain Bridge is an exceptionally scenic sight as it spans the Hudson River between Bear Mountain and Anthony's Nose.

From the top of Bear Mountain, the Hudson River can be viewed in both directions, allowing for views of Iona Island, the Bear Mountain Bridge, and beyond.
