Alonzi, Al Texas Division Administrator As a key member of the FHWA leadership team, Al exercises executive direction over the $5.4B+ annual Federal-aid apportionment to the state of Texas, one of the largest and most complex programs in the Nation. He leads a multidisciplinary staff that provide stewardship, oversight and guidance to state and local funding recipients with the primary objective of remaining a relevant partner in Texas while advancing national transportation goals. Al has been with FHWA for 34 years across multiple offices and roles throughout the country. Al received a BS in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and is a graduate of the AASHTO National Transportation Leadership Institute. He and his wife Susan have 3 children and spend most of their free time watching them in action on the soccer pitch and tennis courts.
