McLaury, Kevin L Director, Western Federal Lands Highway Division Kevin comes with over 27 years with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Since 2007, he has served as the Division Administrator for the Montana Division Office where he leads a professional transportation staff in implementing national initiatives and delivering the $450 million plus annual Federal-aid highway program in the State of Montana. He builds strong collaborative partnerships with and provides guidance to the Montana Department of Transportation Leadership on sensitive transportation issues. While serving in this role, he has been instrumental in providing strategic direction and applying the Risk Based Stewardship & Oversight approach as a part of the Agency's directive. Prior to his current assignment, He served FHWA in Kentucky, Washington DC, Nebraska, the Philadelphia Metro Office, Illinois, and Oklahoma. Kevin's professional experience outside FHWA includes considerable construction experience. He has also recently served in a leadership capacity for FHWA as the acting Director of Information Technology and as the acting Director of Field Services-West. Kevin began his career at FHWA in 1991 as an Engineering Trainee serving in Kentucky, Eastern Federal Lands and Headquarters offices. He holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from South Dakota University and a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of South Dakota.
