Siddiqi, Basharat A Director of Field Services - Mid-America (DFS-MA) Mr. Basharat Siddiqi assumed the role of the Director of Field Services - West with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in February 2024. Playing a crucial role in the Agency's leadership, he exercises oversight and provides leadership to 13 FHWA Division Offices in the western region. Additionally, he acts as an extension of the Executive Director to the field. Before this role, Basharat served as the Division Administrator for the Oklahoma Division Office. During this tenure, he led a division office with 19 employees and managed the annual $890M federal-aid highway program in collaboration with federal, state, and local officials. Basharat's leadership journey encompasses various roles such as the Oklahoma Deputy Division Administrator, Delaware Deputy Division Administrator, New York Division Technology Services Team Leader, New Jersey Division Engineering Coordinator, and Area Engineer. His career with FHWA started in 1999 as a Civil Engineer in the Central Federal Lands Highway Division. Prior to joining FHWA, Basharat gained valuable leadership experience over a 9-year period in various engineering positions with the Utah Department of Transportation. As a Registered Professional Engineer with a Master's in Transportation Engineering, Basharat also holds certifications as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer and a Certified Public Manager from the State of Utah.
