A1A is truly a destination unto itself. Visitors are attracted to the road for many reasons. This picture depicts an annual cycling event that is held along A1A. While this rest stop is located at Fort Matanzas, those shown in the picture with their multi-colored jerseys are indicative of one of the special uses that this road offers. While this event is unique, residents and visitors take advantage of the corridor on a daily basis.
