Three adults stand on the edge of the green and black salt marsh with their backs to the camera as they look out over the river. All are armed with binoculars and cameras with long lenses and appear to be seeking out the roosting birds in the distant trees. Birding is one of the largest recreational activities present along the byway because of its quiet backwater environs.
