A long wooden boardwalk over sand dunes welcomes visitors to the tan colored beaches and calm blue waters of the Atlantic. This ocean setting is set against a blue cloudless sky. While there are a number of beachgoers sitting on colored blankets along the shoreline, most are probably unaware of the history of this stretch of beach that has included English and Spanish warriors fighting to take back control of this strategic portion of North Florida.
